How do I start a recitation session?

Open the app and go to the Quran page. Select any Surah or page you want to memorize. At the bottom of the page you will find a Start Sabaq button — tap it to begin your recitation session. Ayafy will listen and provide real-time feedback as you recite.

What is the difference between Sabak, Sabki, and Manzil?

Sabak is your current new lesson — the portion you are actively memorizing. Sabki is recent revision — portions memorized in the last few weeks that need regular review. Manzil is your full revision — the complete portion of Quran you have memorized and revise periodically.

How does recitation feedback work?

Ayafy uses a custom Quran-aware speech recognition system to compare your recitation against the correct text. It highlights errors and marks words where your recitation differs so you can correct them. The feedback is a learning aid — always verify with your teacher for Tajweed accuracy.

Can I use Ayafy without an account?

No — an account is required to use Ayafy. Sign in with Google to get started. This allows us to save your memorization progress and sync it securely across your devices.

Is Ayafy free to use?

Yes, Ayafy is completely free. All features — recitation practice, memorization tracking, Sabak/Sabki/Manzil sessions, and progress history — are available at no cost.

What happens after I finish a recitation session?

After completing a Sabaq session you will see two options — Save Progress and Record Again. Tapping Save Progress saves your session results to your progress history. Tapping Record Again lets you redo the recitation from the beginning without saving the current attempt.

Is my voice data stored or shared?

No. Your recitation audio is processed by our own system on our servers and is not shared with any third party. Audio is not stored beyond what is needed to display your session results, and it is never used to train AI models.

The app is not recognizing my recitation correctly. What should I do?

Ensure you are in a quiet environment and your microphone is not blocked. Speak clearly and at a natural recitation pace. If issues persist, please contact us with details of the Surah and ayah so we can investigate.

I signed in with Google but cannot access my account. What should I do?

Ensure you are signing in with the same Google account you originally used. If the problem persists, contact us at hello@ayafy.com with your registered email address and we will help you recover access.
